I have been insanely busy recently, which is why I have not posted in over a month. I've been working on some fun and exciting things for myself and for the blog as well. I was recently sent some gifted items to review for all of you! This is really exciting because for the first time ever, my blog is being recognized as a guide for ethical and sustainable brands. I'm very excited about my progress and so happy to share with all of you. So expect these new items this week! As for now, check out this cute outfit I made from a vintage slip.
If you aren't aware, I'm a student and employee by day and fashion blogger by night. So when I get dressed in the morning, it's usually to look as work appropriate as possible. I'm also very finicky when it comes to wearing the same exact outfit twice, so I try to be innovative when it comes to picking out something new to wear. For instance, this slip is something that I could never wear by itself to the office, so I threw a t-shirt on underneath and a belt to make it look like more of a dress. Both my belt and my dress are vintage pieces that I've collected over the years. My shoes are not sustainable, however you can purchase a similar sustainable pair here from, Fortress of Inca. Here is a somewhat similar slip to what I'm wearing, although this version is not sustainable, it is made in the U.S.A. I currently buy my belts at thrift shops and consignment shops because those are where I find the most unique styles, but if anyone can suggest a sustainable belt company, I would love to hear from you! Just comment below. Please and thank you!
